Your Choice by Seatcraft sectionals are built around one idea: you choose the layout, the number of pieces and the color. The products here are the Wilshire and Diamante modular sets, the Seatcraft Cadence power sectional and the Solarium media lounge sofa. If you are shopping for a theater couch set, this is the page where you build one.
Theater Couch Sets You Build Piece by Piece
Wilshire and Diamante are modular: you pick a layout, then add ottomans or a console table. The Diamante Home Theater Sectional Sofa w/ Chaise offers a sofa with 2 or 3 ottomans or a loveseat with 2, the Wilshire Home Theater Modular Chaise Sofa is a 5-piece set, and the Diamante Modular Home Theater Sofa Console Table comes as a row of 2, 3 or 4 with consoles between the seats. Both lines list 450 lbs. per seat and 2.2 high-density foam on their Specifications tabs.
L-Shaped, U-Shaped and Pit Sectionals
An L-shaped sectional (6 or 7 pieces) fits a corner or runs along two walls. A U-shaped pit sectional (6, 8 or 12 pieces) wraps three sides, which gives the room a center for a coffee table and keeps everyone facing the screen. Both Wilshire and Diamante offer each layout, so you can compare the two lines in the same shape. The Wilshire is listed in Gray and the Diamante in Black or Gray.
Power Sectionals and Lounge Sofas
Two products add features beyond the modular sets. The Seatcraft Cadence Multimedia Sectional lists power recline, an adjustable power headrest and adjustable power lumbar, and it needs about 5" from the wall for full recline. The Solarium is a lounge sofa in 104", 120" and 134" widths with power recline, USB charging, in-arm storage and cupholders on its product page; its Specifications tab lists no power headrest or lumbar. Power sectionals use a standard 110v wall outlet, though each seat may need its own.
Modular Sectionals for a Living Room That Doubles as a Theater
In a room that is also a living room, a modular sectional lets you adjust to the space: choose a 6-piece L-shape for a smaller room or a 12-piece pit for a larger one. You can also add or leave off ottomans depending on how often you want a footrest. Measure the room and leave space for people to walk around the sectional before you choose.
How to Choose Theater Sectionals
1. Pick a layout and piece count
Decide how many people sit regularly and where the sectional sits. The table lists the layouts and piece counts in this collection.
| Layout | Pieces | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| L-shaped sectional | 6 or 7 pieces | Wilshire L-Shaped Home Theater Modular Couch, Diamante Media Room L Shaped Sectional |
| U-shaped pit sectional | 6, 8 or 12 pieces | Wilshire Media Room Large U-Sectional Pit, Diamante Home Theater U Shaped Sectional Pit |
| Sofa with chaise | Sofa or loveseat, with 2 or 3 ottomans; or a 5-piece set | Diamante Home Theater Sectional Sofa w/ Chaise, Wilshire Home Theater Modular Chaise Sofa |
| Rows with consoles | Row of 2, 3 or 4, with a middle loveseat option | Diamante Modular Home Theater Sofa Console Table |
| Power and lounge | Power recline, or a 104", 120" or 134" lounge sofa | Seatcraft Cadence Multimedia Sectional, Seatcraft Your Choice Solarium Media Lounge Sofa |
2. Measure before you commit
Sketch the room with the sectional in place, mark the doorways and any wall behind a reclining model, and check each product's Dimensions tab. Delivery usually works when the path is wider than the piece you have chosen, but measure it rather than assume.
3. Pick upholstery and power
Italian leather is listed on Wilshire, Diamante, Cadence and Solarium. Wilshire and Diamante list Black and Gray, the Cadence page shows Navy Blue and the Solarium page shows Red, and their titles say 8+ colors and 13+ colors. Sample swatches are available for many upholstery options, so ask for them before you pick a color.
